Maya J. Berry is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University’s Institute of Sacred Music. As Assistant Professor of African, African American, and Diaspora Studies at UNC-CH, she will further her research on race, gender, performance, and the politics thereof during the current economic reforms in Cuba.
