Ph.D. candidate in the Graduate Program in Social Anthropology at the State University of Campinas (Brazil). Her research focuses on the ethnography intersections between extractivism/mining, development policies, and black territorialities on an island in
northeastern Brazil. Among her interests are the developmental policies implemented in Brazil from the 1960s to the 1980s, the description of longterm historical processes and the perpetuation of racially structured transnational economic practices.
