Before your visit to Sao Paulo

For short-term stays in Brazil, a valid passport or a visiting visa is usually sufficient. Please check the entry requirements with the neariest Brazil consulate or embassy.
If your country of origin is part of MERCOSUR, you may not be required to request/present a VISA for a short-term stay in Brazil. Please check the specific requirements for your country of origin.

Although Brazilian authorities do not require proof of vaccination against yellow fever to entry the country, it is strongly recommended. Please check your local sanitary guidelines to travel to Brazil.

Since May 2023, a certificate of the Covid vaccine nor a negative COVID test are no longer needed as a requirement before boarding the plane for people traveling to Brazil. Please note that each country has different guidelines, make sure you check them before boarding the plane. 

Before your trip to Brazil, make sure you have proper medical insurance for the duration of your program. Your public and/or private medical insurance in your country should cover medical expenses in the case of an injury or accident during a short-term stay in Brazil.
