Fellowships

Visiting Research Associates

ALARI offers non-stipendiary fellowships (Visiting Research Associates) to exceptional scholars who are conducting research on Afro-Latin American Studies in any field. Research Associates may include doctoral, post-doctoral, and faculty.

By conducting research and engaging with faculty and students at ALARI and beyond, the Visiting Research Associates enrich the intellectual life of our Institute. In past years, the Visiting Research Associate  program has brought together a diverse set of people from academic and professional fields, and supported their studies related to the interdisciplinary field of Afro-Latin American Studies. The mission of the fellowship is to support and advance the field of Afro-Latin American Studies.
