Ana María Silva is a historian of race, gender, and the law in colonial Latin American cities. She is a Carolina Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She earned her Ph.D. in History at the University of Michigan in 2018 and holds B.A.s from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
