Invite you to submit panel and paper proposals for the international seminar:
COMPARATIVE STUDIES OF SLAVERY AND RACE IN THE ATLANTIC WORLD
The seminar will gather scholars interested in the study of slavery and race from transnational and comparative perspectives. Possible topics include:
1) Transatlantic networks of the slave trade.
2) Slavery and abolitionism in the Atlantic world.
3) Legal regimes: Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Americas. 4) Social and cultural legacies of slavery.
5) Biological legacies of slavery.
